MANILA, Philippines — The sweepstakes for former PVL MVP Ces Molina and Ria Meneses is on as multiple pro clubs eye the pair for next season.
After the shocking departure of Molina and Meneses, multiple sources confirmed to Inquirer Sports that teams such as Nxled, Capital1, and Strong Group Athletic clubs Farm Fresh and ZUS Coffee are eyeing to acquire the spiker-middle blocker tandem.
Article continues after this advertisementA source said that Molina and Meneses, under Avior Talent Management, are being dealt with as “package deal” and their addition will bolster any team that acquires them.

Molina and Meneses are under one management with ZUS Coffee’s Jovelyn Gonzaga and Chai Troncoso and Farm Fresh’s Rachel Anne Daquis and Jheck Dionela, who all came from Cignal before finding their new home in Strong Group teams.

However, as per the rules the PVL shared during a press conference last November, a player who already suited up for a team in the ongoing All-Filipino Conference can no longer play with another team during the duration of the tournament. The earliest the Molina and Meneses could see action for another team is during the Reinforced Conference.
PVL Commissioner Sherwin Malonzo has yet to respond to the request for confirmation as of posting.
Cignal also said it is considering exploring legal options after the players allegedly didn’t respond during their negotiations last year and subsequently did not attend at the resumption of training this week.
