The devastating wildfires tearing through Los Angeles County have left a trail of destruction, claiming lives, displacing over 180,000 residents and reducing countless homes to ashes.
Since igniting on Jan. 7, the massive blaze has become the most destructive fire in Los Angeles’ history, prompting an outpouring of support from first responders, local organizations and individuals across the nation and worldwide.
Amid the chaos, a Filipino designer currently based in New York, Veejay Floresca, has stepped forward with a heartfelt initiative to assist fire victims in her own simple way.

Deeply connected to the Los Angeles community, the designer took to Instagram to announce an offer: one free custom wedding dress for a 2025 bride affected by the wildfires
In her post, Floresca wrote, “Offering a free wedding dress to one bride affected by the fire. Yes, I want to help. Please send me a message, and let’s work together! Love wins, always!”
Alongside the caption, she shared a video expressing her motivation for this act of kindness.
ADVERTISEMENT“It broke my heart seeing the stories of fire victims online,” Floresca said, adding that she wanted to contribute in a way that reflected her expertise. “If you’re a bride for 2025 and you’re one of the victims of the fire and you don’t have a wedding dress, I’m here for you. I’m willing to work with one bride to create your wedding dress for free.”
Acknowledging her limitations, Floresca further explained, “I don’t have money to donate, but what I know is I have the talent, the professionalism, and the heart to help in my own simple way.”
